IEEE Conference Presentation at CVMI 2024 on Microscopy Image Super Resolution


The Department of Computer Science, Gauhati University and Hinton Reseach Lab, is pleased to announce the presentation of a research paper at the 3rd IEEE International Conference on Computer Vision and Machine Intelligence (CVMI 2024) held at the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.

Deepjyoti Chetia presented the research paper titled “A Comprehensive Survey on Deep Learning-Based Microscopy Image Enhancement and Super Resolution Techniques” at the conference. The work provides a comprehensive overview of recent advancements in microscopy image enhancement and super-resolution using state-of-the-art deep learning techniques.

The presentation highlighted various approaches including:

  • Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs)
  • Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs)
  • Vision Transformers (ViTs)
  • Diffusion-based Reconstruction Models
  • Attention-based Enhancement Frameworks

The study discussed major challenges in biomedical microscopy imaging, including low-resolution image acquisition, reconstruction quality assessment, dataset limitations, and computational complexity. It also explored emerging trends in AI-assisted microscopy and future directions for intelligent biomedical image analysis.

The research contributes to the growing body of knowledge in computational imaging and demonstrates the potential of deep learning techniques in enhancing microscopy images for scientific and medical applications.

The paper was published in the IEEE Xplore Digital Library, and the presentation provided an opportunity to interact with researchers, academicians, and industry experts working in the fields of computer vision, machine learning, and biomedical imaging.
