Dr. Kalyanbrat Medhi completed his PhD from the Department of Computer Science, Gauhati University and has worked extensively in the areas of Pattern Recognition, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Image Processing, and Assamese Handwritten Character Recognition. He has also been associated with Gauhati University as a Teaching Associate.
His doctoral research primarily focused on Assamese handwritten and printed character recognition using neural networks, feature extraction techniques, and pattern recognition frameworks. His publications include works on Assamese digit recognition, handwritten numeral recognition, zoning-based feature extraction, and OCR systems for Assamese script.
Dr. Medhi has research experience in Machine Learning, Digital Image Processing, Deep Learning, and Intelligent Recognition Systems. His work has contributed to the advancement of regional language OCR and document intelligence systems, particularly for Assamese language computing.
Apart from academic research, he is working in industry as a Data Scientist, applying machine learning and pattern recognition techniques to real-world applications in healthcare and intelligent analytics systems.
